An Impreza hatch set up for gravel and snow runs out of grip fast when the open rear diff lets one wheel spin on ice or loose shale. Fitting the Torq-Master R160 Rear Locker turns that rear end into an automatic locker, 9310 steel and fully mechanical, that locks under power and releases when you lift off for corners. It covers the 2012-2016 Impreza in CVT and manual form plus the 2017-2023 generation. Torq-Masters does not guarantee compatibility with 2018 and newer Impreza traction control, so factor that into the decision. Install means opening the rear differential, and Calgary customers can book it with a lift or skid plate job. Flat 4 Offroad in Calgary ships it across Canada.
