The Subaru OEM Trailer Hitch Kit bundles the genuine 2-inch receiver, the 4-pin and 7-pin wiring harness with a pigtail for trailer brakes, and the fascia panel that finishes the rear bumper opening, so the only choice you make is your engine. The 2.5L Touring version is rated for 2,700 lb towing and 270 lb tongue weight, while the 2.4L turbo version for Limited XT, Wilderness and Premier XT trims is rated for 3,500 lb and 350 lb. On this generation of Outback the receiver bolts in behind the rear bumper and exits through a factory access panel, so there is no template cutting of the fascia.
