Second and third generation Foresters are popular trail builds, but at stock height the front bumper and the rear diff are the first things to touch down on a rocky approach. The HRG Offroad 2" Lift Kit adds 2 in. (51 mm) with steel front and rear spacers, offset camber bolts to pull alignment back into spec, and grade 10.9 zinc-plated hardware. On the 2003-2008 Forester the kit includes 1.5 in. trailing arm spacers, while the 2009-2013 kit adds eight subframe spacers and two brake line brackets. Both keep the factory springs and struts, so the car still rides well over potholed Calgary streets. Install takes roughly 4 hours on the 2009-2013 and 6 to 7 hours on the 2003-2008.
