The Outback rides on a wagon chassis, so its front air dam and rear hitch area are usually the first things to scrape on a washed-out access road in Kananaskis. The HRG Offroad 1-1/2" Lift Kit adds 1.5 in. (38 mm) using steel spacers front and rear, keeping the factory springs and struts for a near-stock ride. HRG lists fitment for the 1995-1999 and 2010-2019 Outback using kits shared with older Forester generations, plus dedicated 2020-2024 kits for both standard and Wilderness trims. Kits include powder-coated spacers, grade 10.9 zinc-plated hardware, offset camber bolts on the older generations and trailing arm spacers where needed.
