The 2002-2007 Impreza wagon and sedan make a light, capable gravel car, but stock ride height limits tire size and leaves the floor pan exposed on rough roads. HRG Offroad lists its 1-1/2" Lift Kit for the 1998-2002 Forester as a direct fit for the 2002-2007 Impreza, since the strut mounts are shared. It adds 1.5 in. (38 mm) with powder-coated front and rear spacers, trailing arm spacers and offset camber bolts to bring alignment back into spec. Grade 10.9 zinc-plated hardware is included, and the factory springs and struts stay in place. Expect roughly 2 to 3 hours of install time, then an alignment before heading out on Alberta gravel.
